I thought this would be easy …

… but it wasn't. From the day I decided to begin this journey, picking the perfect first painting was constantly on my mind. After sifting through my floral paintings, over and over, trying to decide which would be the first, this was the winner.

Something about this painting felt like spring, a time of hope and renewal. So, during this cold and dreary January, I thought it would be fitting to select this as the painting I'm turning into 5×7 prints exclusively for my 'Petals in the Mail Club' recipients.
