Giana Allen Design Importing Fine Antiques and Art from France to US - Based France and US/ transport B2B & B2C online

The greatest opportunity for each of us in our lifetime is to fashion our physical space through a thoughtful process of consciousness, awareness and design. My goal is to create an artistic expression - the emotion of the environment - that reflects the intention of my client for the life they are consciously creating. Understanding who we are helps in creating the space we live in.

There’s something special about working with people who make the process enjoyable. 🤍

I made this little video during a meeting with my architects and it reminded me how important the human side of design and construction really is.

Designing a roof deck on an older NYC building is complex. We’ve been working on this for over a year, navigating building codes, structural issues, roof repairs, approvals, and a whole lot of patience.

What I appreciate most is having a team that can handle it all while still making the process fun. Learning to enjoy the moment while climbing the mountain. ✨

Today I pack my bags again to fly from France to NYC, and honestly, the hardest part is leaving my husband here with the kids while I go off into the world to do what I love. Finding a partner who is secure enough to let you fully be yourself — to grow, work, travel, dream, and evolve — shouldn’t feel rare, but for many working women, it still is. And I never take that for granted.

I’m endlessly grateful for FaceTime, for laughter across oceans, and for a kind of love that keeps us emotionally connected no matter where we are in the world. Leaving my husband for work trips is never easy… but it always makes coming home that much sweeter. ❤️

Eight rare Gustave Serrurier-Bovy chairs found in the South of France forgotten, worn, and hidden away for years.
After a careful restoration, their sculptural lines and quiet elegance finally came back to life.

A small piece of Art Nouveau history, revived. ✨

Finding love — whether within yourself or shared with another human — is really the only thing that truly matters, in my opinion.

For two entrepreneurs constantly building, creating, traveling, and chasing dreams, preserving that love takes intention every single day. I probably don’t express my gratitude enough for how supported, loved, and understood I feel.

If you’ve bought furniture from me before… you probably recognize this piece immediately. 🤍

This antique bank counter from the region of Lyon, France was actually my personal checkout stand for years, and honestly… I never intended to sell it. I used it as my desk, my workspace, and one of those special pieces that became part of my everyday life and my story.

Originally, this piece lived inside a French bank where clients would come to handle their transactions and meet with bankers. I love imagining all of the conversations, history, and daily life it witnessed over the years. Pieces like this carry soul and character that simply can’t be recreated.

One of the things I love most about antique furniture is how versatile it can become in a modern space. This piece could be used beautifully as:
• a desk
• a bar
• a restaurant hostess stand
• a retail checkout counter
• or even a statement kitchen island

The craftsmanship, scale, and patina are incredible in person.

There’s something so special about sourcing pieces in France that once had a real purpose and giving them a second life in someone’s home or business.

Authentic. Timeless. Full of history.

One of my favorite parts of what I do…

Walking through antique fairs, taking it all in textures, history, pieces you don’t see every day.

There’s so much out there, but it’s always about finding the ones that feel special.

The hunt is everything 🤍

It’s all in the details…

From fabrics to trims, every choice plays a role in how a space feels in the end.

These are the moments where everything starts coming together layering textures, softness, and intention.

Because the difference is always in the details.

Choosing the right chairs is never just about how they look…

It’s about scale, comfort, how they sit in the space and how everything works together.

Some pieces you question… and some you just know.

This is always one of my favorite parts of the process.
