Converting CRP or pasture to row crop production? Let us help maximize yields by sourcing and applying manure. Generally CRP ground is very low in fertility and is lacking soil microbial activity. Manure solves both of these issues and is 30-40% cheaper than commercial fertilizer. We have seen drastic yield increases with manure on newly broken up CRP versus standard commercial fertilizer.

The field below had many 17-23% slopes, we have the equipment and horsepower to get the job done.

Only around 1,000 acres left of gypsum for the season. Can't beat the uniformity and spread pattern of the Unverferth ProForce beds with Digistar scales for low rate 0.5-3ton/acre applications. For spring spreading these floaters offer almost no compaction. Gypsum is the cheapest source of sulfur available in this area, only a fraction of the cost of ams or thiosulfate from the co-op. Give us a call to schedule gypsum applications for next fall. 1ton/acre of gypsum gives 250-280lbs of sulfur.

A bit of light reading for anyone interested. In summary, after many years of tracking yields following manure applications compared to synthetic fertilizer, fields with manure applied had higher yield stability meaning that in times when the weather did not cooperate either with lack of sunlight or lack of moisture, the manured fields had less drop off in yield compared to synthetic fertilized fields.

Cattle manure is a valuable resource for farmers, as it contains an abundance of macro and micronutrients that are essential for plant growth and development. The nutrients present in manure, such as nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), and other minerals are essential for soil fertility. On...

Variable rate spreading dry feedlot manure. With tractors ballasted to 60,000 lb we are able to spread all winter long even in hilly conditions with 6 inches of snow on the ground. This allows us to get more acres covered during the winter and prevent the compaction associated with spring spreading.
