I haven’t had a tidbit from Thailand since Season 3 of The White Lotus wrapped up last year … but this story caught my eye and made me smile … it’s a well known fact, sad but true, that Thailand has an illicit drugs problem … think back packers, gap year kids and full moon parties … there’s no telling what Westerners at play will get up to when they are thousands of miles away from home … one particular drug kingpin was on the radar of local Thai police in the province of Lopburi …the suspected m**hamphetamine pill pusher had earned a reputation as a skirt stalker and it was known thru police intelligence work that he was planning to attend a nighttime dance festival in town …led by a female investigator who posed as the director of a exotic dance troupe, fellow police officers, all male, dressed in sparkly sequined drag to entrap the lowlife fellow … the honey trap worked and the suspect fell in line behind the dance troupe and as quick as you can say Pad Thai he was clinked in handcuffs … the police/drag girls found over 150 illegal m**h pills in the pockets of our pusher … the photo above corroborates the ingenious sting operation … the suspect’s face is blocked out but the police boys and girl smile broadly for the camera … without any Cultural Critique in my Heart I do love the drug dealer’s name … he is identified as Mekha Fa-wap-wap … he’s facing a bunch of charges that are more than a slap slap on the wrist … now the only problem is that one of the Sting officers has decided he likes the feel of glittery satin upon his body … how to wrap a leather holster strap around a cloud of perfumed prettiness ?
