Refinishing Blarney Stone Pub tables with a new lighter look

This was a challenge. Customer came in with an idea to transform this 5 1/2 ft table into a 9 ft table and had a budget. They gave me 2 pieces of wood cut for potential leaves along with a leaf they found. We trimmed and routered the edges to look like the original table edge, glued the 3 pieces together to form 1 large leaf, made new skirts to match the original table skirts (that was the toughest part), then stained and finished. The customer knew the other wood they provided would look different then the rest of the table but wanted them anyway. I think it turned out pretty nice.

Bought some local hardwood maple flooring from a high school that was tearing up their gym floor and made bar top tables with the 3 local high school logos burnt into them and then laid an epoxy finish over with a laminate edging. All with pinstripe basketball layout. Turned out pretty cool
