Good news: I just got word that the sculpture will be installed May 4th.
This is NOT the dedication.
That will happen in July.
(after the basket is installed)

Step nine of twelve
Creating a wax positive.
The urethane mold came off the clay sculpture beautifully which is encouraging for this wax positive.

Urethane mold completed. Parting walls are laid out next, done in sections. They will hold plaster over the urethane mold which when de-molded becomes a negative pattern of the basket into which melted wax is painted. Then off to the foundry.
