Over the last couple of weeks I finally motivated myself enough to set up and wire this bass. Tasty Loaf j pickups by sound ballsy, can’t wait to open it up. Finished the concentric k***s today for the final touch, so here are some sexy photos for y’all. Every instrument I make I ultimately end up selling for a third of the price I probably should, so I might just skip the fake, lowballer bu****it this time around and keep it…and play the f**k out if it.

Some progress shots of my most recent project for a local wrestling tournament. Finished product was pretty close to my original idea. The cherry mallets have an espresso stain followed by half a dozen coats of tru oil. The hand shaped handles are capped with a brass piece, then wrapped with some strips of my brain tanned buckskin and some more brass for a rustic look. With the buckskin on there, it gives a bit of a sweet, smoky smell to your hands after holding it, which I love. Biggest mallets I’ve made by far, about 9 lbs I think!

Controls drilled and routed for this Jazz bass. Made some pickup covers to match the herring bone block inlays, which will house my “tasty loaf” jazz set made by . It’s hard enough trying to make instruments without a suitable shop space and almost no machines, why not make it even harder haha. Maybe someday it’ll pay off.

Some sexy shots of this finished build! Well, almost finished. The neck pickup is dead, so I’m just waiting for a replacement and it will be done done. Sounds pretty badass with just the MM, but the J will really take it over the top. As soon as I have that installed, this will be available for purchase! Specs in the comments.
