AVAILABLE • Refreshed this vintage oak dresser by sanding off the old, orange-y finish and giving it a lighter wash of paint and stain. I added a piece of fluted trim across the front to fill the gap between drawers left by the gaudy, shiny brass strip I removed. The hardware was updated with a spray of matte black paint. I am in love with this piece and don’t want to give it up! Lucky for you, I don’t have the space. 😉

AVAILABLE • Solid maple hutch desk. Lots of small things add up to a huge transformation! I removed the shutter doors and lots of detailed trim to give a more modern, streamlined look. The maple was gorgeous and I didn’t want to cover it all up but there were cigarette burn marks on the desk top that I couldn’t remove. Solution: Paint over them with a grain sack stripe! I think it adds to the farmhouse style of the piece. I kept the shelves natural as well, painted the rest black and added antique brass hardware. “Lamp Black” and “Flat” HPTC.
