This week, we’re introducing our exhibiting artists so you can get to know them leading up to their art pieces’ installation at Menokin in October!

John Latell (Wicomico Forge) grew up near Warrenton, VA and lived and worked in Richmond and Pittsburgh. He’s produced large scale public sculpture both sanctioned for posterity and large works placed carefully in neglected industrial sites. Public art, solo gallery shows, group exhibitions and private, personal work generated much through the lens of metal sculpture though paint, photography, printmaking, wood, concrete and stone also. For over 20 years he’s called the Northern Neck home.
The primacy of form, the nature of mind, loosely held associations, fluid inquiry and eclectic interests are some of which are expressed well in the work of Luiz Zerbini, Anselm Kiefer and Maurizzio Cattelan encapsulated in myriad form of nature and history.

Tomato stakes- a friend told me she couldn’t find a decent tomato stake that would last more than a year or two- so I thought..why not’ $40 each - hand painted, 7 to choose from, durable & can stake in the ground 18” & still have over 5 ft. In height.
I plan to be at Irvington Farmer’s market, Second Sundays in Williamsburg and Heathsville farmer’s market- hope to see you!

WFGardenworks will be attending: Irvington farmer’s market (1st Saturday of the month May-November) Williamsburg- second Sundays, Toano- last Saturday of the month… With new display! Pyramidal trellis, Arbor, Obelisk, Armillary, tomato stakes !, birds, flowers, oyster knives, incense burners, fireplace pokers, shish kabob skewers, vases, & more!!
In the works: bench, birdbath, bistro table (magical mystery variety🌞) all carefully considered… 40 + items- slick commercial display at some point- ? :it’s low on my priority list. I am however eager for this business to work- Hope to see you🙏

Obelisk- available in combinations of corten “weathering steel, stainless steel and painted. 9’or 13’3” with or without plinth (add 3+-ft.) In combinations of materials & finishes. Installation available- (footing does not exceed base dimension) Lots of possibilities! 01- orange..02??? I think a 13’3” stainless obelisk on corten plinth would be the jam for anyone who 💚’s a garden. Please contact for details-
