Please Share with your Friends and Family. The W**d Mercantile needs to be open to help with the Community's needs. The W**d Mercantile has been my life's work since coming to W**d in 1996. I have sanded every inch of these Hardwood Floors three times myself. I want this building Safe, Beautiful, and a Fun Place to be in the Good Times. I want it to provide a place that Feels like Home in the Times of Trouble and Sorrow. The W**d Mercantile has hosted Weddings, Birthday Parties, Baby Showers, and even Memorial Services including my Husbands. We have Summer Day camp, Casino Night. Silent Auctions, Christmas Craft Fair, Halloween Haunted House, Spring Fling Craft Fair, Farmers Market, Fruit and Vegetable Exchange, Teen Night in Cougar Park, and Teen Dances in the Summertime. We had a Talent Show to help to raise Money to build the W**d Skate Park. Which we did. The full $250,000 needed. The seniors helped with the mailings and the Donation Cans in the Community to make this a happen. We have also done Kids Fun Day, Teens Summer Dances, as well as Karaoke as Music Therapy for Special Needs Students and anyone who just want to come and sing and have fun. We had the First Skateboard Competition in Siskiyou County. We have had the Adopt a Sock Christmas party for over 18 years as well as the Seniors wrapping 1,000's of Christmas presents each year for the party. . We also sponsored Three W**d Wildflower Festivals which were great. The W**d Elementary School Children helped us to grow flowers and plant them on Main Street. This was our Flowers on the Blvd. Project. Thanks to all of the Community Volunteers that have help us through the years. We are asking for help now so we can continue the work that we have started.
