π¨π¨ Hey everyone! Let's talk about the fascinating world of custom work and design. It's important to understand the design process and its crucial role in creating something truly special.
βοΈ Whether it's a hand sketch or a detailed CAD drawing, the design process is key. It's not just about aesthetics; it's about functionality, feasibility, and ensuring success. Without a well-thought-out design, the chances of failure are multiplied.
π‘ Sometimes, we are provided with a design, but that doesn't automatically mean it's the best or even correct. That's why I spend countless hours, and sometimes days, on design work. Every minute invested in the design phase pays off during fabrication.
π By the time I actually start working with wood or any other building material, I've already designed and revised the project at least three times. First, it's all in my head, then I put it on paper, and finally, I bring it to life using software. Even in the final stages, I constantly bounce between these three processes, fine-tuning the design.
β¨ But here's the interesting part: even with a finished design, there's always a chance of in-field modifications during fabrication. This might mean going back to the design phase, making pencil notes on my plan, and incorporating them into the software.
π Having your hands on a project allows you to see things your mind may miss. That's why being in control of the whole process is incredibly valuable. It gives you the opportunity to continuously improve upon the design and learn from your work. Each project becomes a stepping stone towards growth and becoming a better artist in all aspects.
π± So, let's embrace the design process, learn from our work, and implement those lessons into new designs. The journey of creating something unique and beautiful is filled with excitement and creativity!
