I know I said Christmas 2024 wa going to be my last at my shop, Homeward Bound Designs, inside the Little Red Schoolhouse, Lansing. My love for Christmas, my creative side and lots of new items that I couldn’t resist…. and here we are, Christmas, the 2025 version. I try really hard to keep this FB page for promoting my Small Business but felt as I start to consider my options moving forward that my customers should know what small businesses are dealing with.

From my personal FB;

“As a small business retailer in Michigan I’m doomed. I just placed an order for mid-priced backpacks, duffle bags and shoulder bags. My supplier, whom I’ve been doing business with for over 3 years just cancelled my order. They are Canadian based importer, they apologized but were honest that my order with the amount of tariffs I would be charged 60% more because I would have to pay double the tariff based on it being a 2-fold import. Whoever says the other countries are paying the tariffs is…”
