The McPike Mansion in Alton looks abandoned—
but people who go there say the same thing:

👉 You don’t feel alone.

Not for a second.

Strangers—who’ve never met—keep describing:
• The same figure in the upstairs window
• The same footsteps behind them
• The same feeling of being watched

So either…

A) Everyone is lying
B) Everyone is imagining the exact same thing
C) There’s actually something there

The Dark History of Mineral Springs Hotel – Alton, Illinois 👻

Before it became one of the most haunted buildings in Illinois, the Mineral Springs Hotel was actually a luxury health resort built in 1914. People traveled from all over to drink and bathe in its “healing” mineral water… but not everyone left.

💀 Over the years, tragedy started to stack up:

• A man drowned in the hotel’s massive indoor pool
• A woman known as “The Jasmine Lady” is said to still roam the halls—her presence marked by the smell of perfume
• A woman named Pearl died from an overdose inside the building in the 1960s
• Guests and workers have reported shadow figures, voices, and objects moving on their own

After closing in the 1970s, the building sat abandoned… and that’s when the stories really took off.

Today, people say the spirits never left.
The underground pool. The staircases. The old rooms.

They’re all still active.

👁️ Some believe it’s one of the most paranormally active locations in the Midwest
Others think it’s just history playing tricks on people.

But one thing’s for sure…
