I do what I love and I love what I do!
My amazing husband and I had always agreed that after our boys started school I would go back to work. In August 2012, I sent my baby off to join his big brother in elementary school. I hadn’t a clue what my next chapter would hold and was in no hurry to to figure it out! My background was in telecommunications but my passion was being creative, and truthfully, I had no desire to re-enter the corporate world. Eight years of being a stay home Mom had really spoiled me!!
I’ve always been artsy-fartsy/eclectic, have always loved/collected antiques, and have always been very frugal -I get it from my Momma! So, the boys are both in school and I was browsing at one of my favorite thrift stores when I spotted a couple of old outdated coffee tables with great bones and had an epiphany- I thought, “I can totally paint those and sell them”. They were inexpensive enough to give it a shot and I already had plenty of paint and glaze, figured I had nothing to lose! I took them home, put my spin on them, and stuck them on craigslist. They sold fast and I was hooked!! I worked like crazy building up stock and by September, I opened my first antique booth and started taking on clients projects! Kind of just fell into the business really and here I am, six years later, turning old unloved furniture back into special pieces bringing warmth, character, and a unique feel to so many homes. I am incredibly grateful for all of you that appreciate my work, and I couldn’t do it without my totally fantastic husband that supports me wholeheartedly!!! I am one lucky lady to be able to do what I love, because I truly love what I do!
