"As we get ready to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we should remember that those values that we admire in the Marine Corps — honor, courage, selfless service and love of country — are the very values that our Country was founded on."

In The Washington Times, Marine Corps Heritage Foundation CEO (ret) MajGen James W. Lukeman shares why the Marines' 250th in 2025 was the perfect set-up to this year's America250.

Our nation exists because of our armed forces. In 2025, the U.S. Marine Corps, Army and Navy all celebrated their 250th anniversary.

Farrell is one of the being highlighted by the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation to mark the U.S. Marine Corps' 250th anniversary in November.
