Now I am not a mom, however I have been in enough homes with kids to know that they love to spread their toys out from one end of the house to the other. If you have a playroom, then great, however for most of us, the toys are probably laying around in the main living area, and finding that balance between an adult space and a kids space can be challenging. Rule of thumb - LESS IS MORE! Kids have a very short attention span, so they are picking up one thing, and dropping it within minutes to play with the next. To make your life easier, provide less options. Instead of 15 trucks, leave out 3-4 of their favorites, or instead of 4 sets of blocks, just pick one. A kid friendly living space is possible, it just requires a good design and great storage!

While I love to preach about getting your home organized, sometimes we need to take a second and organize our lives 🙃 When we are all working full time jobs, taking care of kids, and cleaning the house, cooking can be the last thing on our minds. No one wants to think ahead to the next week in order to make a grocery list. BUT, this is the biggest time and money saver! When you are able to take 10 minutes to look through the pantry and fridge BEFORE going to the grocery store, and you are able to map out 2-3 recipes for the upcoming week (be realistic with yourself), you will end up saving MONEY because you won’t buy duplicates of items you already have, and can avoid letting things go bad, and TIME because you will know exactly what you can make with what you have. Plus it makes the grocery trips a lot less painful because you are not strolling through every aisle looking for inspiration! I personally use the Apple Notes app to create a grocery list, and update it when I am shopping by “checking” items off when I add them to my cart. What works for you?

Finally posting my office transformation! This office went from 0-100 real quick. It was being used as a storage room, and after I emptied it out, I quickly realized it needed paint. I set up an existing desk for the time being, but one thing led to another and here we are with a complete transformation including all new furniture/decor and batten board. The rug was my main inspiration and then I found the chair and knew I wanted teal on the walls. What do you think?!

Look at this closet transformation! This was a massive project, and believe it or not, we added an entire dressers worth of clothes to the closet to save space in the bedroom. Incorporating some dividers up top and shoe boxes to keep things organized on the floor made a huge difference. All of these products can be found on . What do you think?!

Swipe to see what we did! This toddlers closet was out of control, but the good news is that most of the items were able to be moved into storage or donated, so we didn’t have that much to put back. We were able to utilize the built in shelving on the top and to the right, and didn’t have to spend any extra money for the finished product, other than some bins from to store the excess items in. What do you think?!

Kid plates, bowls, cups and silverware need their own space! Mainly because they’re too small and don’t stack properly with the regularly sized items, but also, because they eat all the time (feels like every hour haha) and we need easy access. Also, you’re probably holding them when you’re prepping their food, so having their stuff somewhere easy that only requires one hand is super helpful.
This used to be a spice drawer, but I put the spices in the pantry and made this available for all of the toddlers things. Even if you don’t have kids, how *~*happy*~* does this colorful drawer make you?! 😊

The dresser behind the desk was full of random odds and ends so we emptied it out and rearranged things. All of the dog toys went into one drawer, seasonal clothes went into another, everything required for work went into one, and we were able to reuse a drawer organizer that we found, and one drawer stayed empty! Just because you have the storage, doesn’t mean you have to use it!

Every project comes with its challenges, and this one was no different 🤪 This beautiful condo has great storage, but a lot of odd shaped and very tall cabinets. Lucky for me, my clients were amazing and down for anything I threw at them, and ready to purge… A LOT! Once you start pulling everything out, you realize how much you have, and how much you don't need. It's always easier to put back less things, but in the long run, it keeps things organized longer.

I touched every inch of their condo, and idk who was more excited about the final product - me or them 🤩 Whose next?!
