The Fauquier Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells new and lightly used products donated by the community, local businesses, and contractors. Our inventory changes every day and includes furniture, books, building materials, home décor, exercise equipment, and more! 100% of the net proceeds support Fauquier Habitat for Humanity. ot meet current demand. Those properties which are affordable are seeing their price increase at two times the rate of the median-priced home nationally and developers that are interested in building affordable homes confront high cost of land, cost-prohibitive infrastructure, and zoning requirements that make it challenging to construct a truly affordable home. Fauquier Habitat has been working within our community to meet these challenges for nearly 30 years. We know that homeownership can transform lives. It creates a long-lasting and life-changing impact on families and communities, from providing a source of wealth and asset-building to influencing health and educational outcomes and contributing to positive community development. By shopping, donating materials, or volunteering at the ReStore, you help Fauquier Habitat for Humanity to give a “hand up” not a "hand out", to those living below our area median income. We work on a primarily volunteer basis and strive to make a positive impact on the local community. ACCEPTABLE DONATIONS: Please call ahead for additional information. Newer appliances (ovens, washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers (three years or less), toilets, couches, chairs (no pet hair, tears, rips), tables, cabinets, lights, ceiling fans, uninstalled wood and tile flooring (depending on quantity), lumber, granite and marble countertops, fireplace mantles, roll-top and antique desks, new water heaters, stoves and microwaves, siding, double-paned smaller windows, tools, lawn, and garden equipment (in working condition) and books (limited quantities). Unfortunately, we cannot take: televisions, stereos/speakers, entertainment centers, dishwashers older than three years, small appliances, mattresses, or box springs. DONATIONS: We take donations Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. We pick up donations Tuesday through Friday.
