About Us

At Warren Woods Design, we use the natural beauty and shape of the tree as inspiration for creating original objects and furniture. We build natural-edge and contemporary furniture, along with wooden sculptures and art pieces. Most of the wood is from trees salvaged from our property in Warren, Connecticut, primarily black cherry, ash and maple. Exotic woods like bubinga and makore also play a role in our creations. Everything we build and create begins with visually processing the form and shape of each tree; studying its individual knots and unique characteristics. Then we let the milled pieces of wood guide us into what they will become. The furniture and art are then sculpted with an emphasis on simplicity and form. Asian organic and Asian inspired free-form is how we describe our style at Warren Woods Design. Allowing the trees to inspire leads to contentment with each piece of furniture and art we bring to life.
