Out of the Woods Construction & Cabinetry, Inc. We are a Design/Build Residential Remodeling Company, in business since 1992. We are a design/build residential remodeling firm founded in 1992.

We design & build beautiful, functional things, but we specialize in working for happy people. First-and-foremost we are craftsmen, but we are also nationally recognized industry thought leaders on topics such as the design/build process, open book management, customer service, and staff empowerment. The foundation of our system is rooted in establishing a good "fit" with clients, very organized planning & design process to eliminate surprises during construction, and formalized communication throughout the entire process. Over 90% of our business comes from repeat clients and direct referrals. Approximately 2/3 of our projects in 2011-2012 were for repeat clients.

One home. Two chapters of transformation.

Our work on this Arlington home began with removing the aluminum siding, installing new siding, and completing a full exterior renovation.

Years later, the new owners called us back to design and build the coolest deck and screened porch ever.

Getting to work on the same home for different owners is a special part of what we do. Each chapter brings a new vision, and another opportunity to build on what makes the home unique.

We always believe in planning every detail before construction begins. But sometimes, the house tells you a different story.

While renovating this 200-year-old home, we uncovered the original roof timbers and couldn’t imagine throwing them away. Instead, they became the centerpiece of this vaulted kitchen ceiling, paired with a new gable window that fills the space with natural light. ☀️

Our favorite final touch was the client adding the (fake) bat hanging from the beam. 🦇
