Salvaged, milled, cured, kilned, processed, and now ready for its forever home.
This piece started as a orchard tree down the road but was removed after it failed to come back one year. You can see the heavy graft lines of black walnut rootstock and English walnut graft often called "claro walnut".
This was cut a bit thicker than most, and ended up being just under 3". That allowed me to double up the tenon joints, making this one seriously sturdy piece.
Is it a coffee table? Is it a bench? I suppose it depends on what you want to put on it, it's not delicate.
Come check me out and take me home.
