It’s been a few weeks since I’ve made sawdust. Feels good to be back in the shop again! Time to get started on some custom orders. Updates will follow over the next several weekends.

Made another wood run! Time to start fulfilling some custom orders!

This next batch will keep me busy until Christmas, so I won’t have time to make another batch for sale until next year. TLDR: New boards available on my website!

Long version:
We were scheduled to do the Kinmundy fest this weekend and next weekend, but we got rained-out on day 1. It was a sloppy mess! It's supposed to rain off and on all week, so we're probably not going to make it next weekend. So... I took pictures of every board I have left and posted them on my website. Now I gotta get ready for my work week (real job stuff).

Took a little break from making boards this weekend and made a prototype cake knife out of Curly Maple, Cherry, and Padauk. I may make some more, but Sara said this one is ours. Lol

Quick Update:

We had a great time at the Centralia Balloon Fest! Thank you to everyone that stopped by and a huge thank you to everyone that bought boards - may they forever be a cherished piece! I'll be drawing the name for the free board giveaway sometime in the next few days.

Sara signed us up for one more event, the Kinmundy Log Cabin Fall Festival (link below), scheduled the last two weekends in September, 9/21-9/22 and 9/28-9/29. We’ll be sharing a booth similar to Balloon Fest.

I was originally going to post remaining inventory on my website after the Balloon Fest, but I’ll need all of my inventory for Kinmundy. I’ll post remaining boards afterwards.

I have several custom orders to complete before Christmas and a few afterwards, so I expect to open up custom orders again early next year.

A sincere thank you to everyone that’s supporting my adventure and passion! From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate all of you helping make this dream come true and allowing me to continue doing what I love!

Weekend progress on the last batch for Balloon Fest. Got these sanded to 220 grit and raised the grain with water. They still need a final sanding, mineral oil, and hot wax treatment. Used a lot of Curly Maple I got from Kunz Carpentry Warehouse in this batch and bookmatched several of the boards. 2 weeks left!!

Sara (Triple Bees Honey Company) and I will be setup at the Centralia Summer Market from 10am-2pm today. She has honey and her other amazing products, I have boards, and the weather forecast looks great! Lots of other vendors and good food and drink there as well.
