Tom Duffy Designs LLC Custom Woodworking Projects, Sign Making, Custom Cabinetry, and Design with CNC and Laser Capabilities. I have enjoyed woodworking since I was a teenager.

A design that begins with an idea, drawn and engineered to the customers satisfaction, to result in a one of a kind piece. I have steadily grown my skills, my shop and my small business over the years. I am a custom draftsman and can design and draw anything I make. I am a husband, father of two, fisher, craftsman, and friend. I look forward to creating something beautiful for you that is hard to find in a store and will last for generations to come.

Next project is moving along nicely. The client had to take some trees down on their property. They took those trees and got them sawed and dried to get a bar made for their man/woman cave. They came to me for the design and fabrication. The top pictured is 10-1/2 ft long x 44” wide, massive!! What’s left is to sand,fill the voids, and finish the top then construct the bottom foot rail. That will be 1-1/4” pipe painted black. Fun project!

I had a client of a local Scandinavian small business ask me if I could make some prototype Krumkake rollers. Here is what I came up for them. If these sell good I’ll be making more.. I used different woods like cherry, maple, white oak, and alder. Still on the lathe, I applied a nice food grade safe oil. Image attached is what they make if you don’t know what they are.

A client asked me if I could fix their custom made dining room table. The seams between the sections were very wide and inconsistent. Between the leaves there were some height variations as well. I removed all the tops and jointed them so they would come together nice and tight. I then sanded the entire top to make the seams the same height. After that I applied a nice oil finish.
The client should be happy with the results.

This has been a fun project for sure. It is a 40” wide x 9 foot long table and an 8 foot long bench. It’s made of knotty alder which is a very nice wood to work with. The bases are done and ready to be disassembled, sanded, then finished. I need to glue the tops up and finish those yet but love the way it’s turning out.
This started from the client providing me with designs they liked and then I combined some of the features and came up with this design.
There were many jigs and templates made to do the joinery.

Delivered the hutch/pantry cabinet today. Had some great help from Bryce and Luke since they are up for Christmas. This thing was heavy. The clients loved it and provides them with so much more storage.
