Our client wanted to soften the modern edge of her condo while keeping elements she loved—like her bold red ceiling and black cabinetry. We introduced a more traditional feel with customized cabinetry details, rich wood tones, and thoughtfully matched accents throughout.

A striking, veined marble countertop steals the spotlight, flowing seamlessly up the backsplash and tying together the warmth of the tigerwood floors with the depth of the black finishes. The result? A beautifully balanced space that blends classic style with subtle modern touches.

Remodel Highlight | Tipperary Rd, Kalamazoo

Blending old with new, this kitchen remodel was all about preserving the home’s original charm while making it more functional and light-filled. ✨

With existing ceiling beams and terracotta floors guiding the design, every detail—from the custom maple cabinetry in a vintage-inspired “Norway Spruce” finish to the tile countertops with oak trim—was carefully selected to complement the homeowner’s eclectic style.

Large windows replaced upper cabinets to flood the space with natural light, while smart storage solutions keep everything beautifully organized. Paired with a custom hood, and thoughtfully reused original elements, this space perfectly balances character, creativity, and modern-day function.

Say hello to Robin Sharp! 👋

Robin has been a valued member of our flooring sales and design team for over 10 years. While her time with us spans a decade, her passion for designing and decorating—both for herself and others—goes back much further.

Before joining Standale, Robin worked a variety of roles where she discovered her love for connecting with people and bringing a smile to their faces. Today, that same passion shines through in her work with clients. Her favorite part of the design and remodeling industry is “helping people find the perfect things that help them fall in love with their home again.”

At Standale, Robin says her favorite part is the people she works with, often sharing, “We have the BEST team.” And we couldn’t agree more.
