As I have grown and expanded my business. There is always one reoccurring question. We have always offered free delivery, installation and recycle of your old furniture or mattresses. We might be one of the last retail stores in the nation to offer this service. In the early years we could bake in some of that cost into margins. But as the years past. Online competition grew. As did overhead cost. It has become a significant cost to the company to maintain this service free of cost. The inner company debate has had many ideas. Such as an affordable fee like $30. Or only charge for delivery on items under $999. To help offset the cost. I get everyone charges a fee. Well not me!!!!! I will not ever charge a delivery fee. Just like the Costco hotdog. As long as I am the owner and CEO. We will always give customers more for less. Delivery, installation, and disposal will always be free at Eager Beaver Furniture and Mattress Outlet. Especially in this economy.
