Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
As a proud part of the San Diego community—home to one of the nation’s largest military populations—we are especially grateful for the service, courage, and dedication of those who have worn our nation’s uniform and defended the freedoms we enjoy every day.
On this Memorial Day, we remember the fallen heroes who never returned home, the families who carry their legacy forward, and the countless sacrifices made in the name of freedom.
Their courage will never be forgotten. Their service will never go unrecognized. Their legacy lives on in the freedoms we cherish today.
To our military community, veterans, active-duty service members, and their families: thank you. We are forever grateful for your service and sacrifice.
