We’ve all seen these orange wood desks. We may have even had one of these orange wood desks! 😆

But with a little imagination and the magic of paint these can transformed into a beautiful modern piece.

When a returning client needed a desk for her daughter’s room, I was happy to source this solid wood study desk for her.

Adding a textured paintable wallpaper to the fronts of the drawers and streamlined hardware created the perfect modern touch for an otherwise traditional desk.

The wood tones and black paint are always a winning combo!

I love, love, love when clients aren’t afraid of going bold with color choices. ❤️❤️❤️

This vintage set of solid wood nightstands had such beautiful carved detailing and stunning hardware too.

My client wanted to keep with that vintage charm but add a bold color to make these showstoppers.

Tops were sanded down and stained black while the moody blue steals the show. The original hardware was sprayed matte black. A beautiful printed paper ties all the details together.
