Bluehost has erroneously shutdown the Mathercab email and website. I'm trying to get it back up, but I'm in chat hell with them. In the meantime, please do not open any emails from [email protected].

I had ordered 2 cabinets from Peter in May and just received notice from the accountant that Peter has had a serious medical event that has stopped production completely at his wood shop. I've been dealing with him for many years and a nicer guy you won't find. Here's hoping he gets better soon.

In an effort to commemorate Peter's work, I am going to keep the email open for as long as I can for any customers who have questions about the cabinets he made for them. I worked along with Peter since 2008 and documented (when I could nail down all of the details) wood cut lists, final cabinet dimensions, wood type specs, and cosmetic details. I also helped in the shop and do understand a lot (but definitely not all) of the construction and assembly processes. Not than anyone can replicate his efforts, I am just doing this if anyone wants to add to a rig or wants to sell and needs some details. This is Susan Mather. I just wanted to tell everyone how much all of these kind words and sharing means to Peter's friends and family and to his legacy. It means so incredibly much and it helps so much. Thank you all --- and keep them coming. If you have a memory or story to tell ( I love that "make it sing" story. I adored his guitar playing ), let it all hang out !

Peter Mather of Mather Amp Cabinet has passed away at 57 years old. He was an incredibly multi-talented human: an incredible artist, luthier, guitarist and cabinet maker. He dedicated his entire life to building things with integrity and perfection. He lived a modest life and did what he loved. The world has lost a very unique person. He will be missed.
