We have an update on the family we have been helping for the last year. The single mom with 2 children have been living in a pretty aweful motel since the end of May 2025. She has found a rental house in Clayton in a safe neighborhood, with a yard for the kids to play. The landlord is just finishing renovations, and we are anticipating her being able to move in this weekend. She has paid the security deposit and signed the lease. She has a substantial chunk of money to put toward the first month rent, but due to circumstances that were not her fault, she is short the balance of the rent. We are so close....and not quite there. If anyone is willing to help out I can accept donations through Venmo and Paypal to put toward her rent. Any amount helps. It all adds up and we make a difference.

I have been stockpiling furniture and household items so we don't need anything this week. I'd like to get her in with what we have then take inventory of what else they could use. Everything at once will overwhelm her...and me! What we could use right now are laundry soap, dish soap, cleaning supplies, and kids snacks. Always kids snacks...those two can eat!
