The Vintage Splinter

The Vintage Splinter Beautifully handcrafted decor & furniture. All from old reclaimed pallets and old barn wood. From outhouses to birdhouses! And coolers to accent walls!

pallet- something to stack stuff on to be shipped out to stores or warehouses to eventually be trashed or burned. That is the definition of a pallet for the most part. I personally feel that each and every pallet has a story to tell from its busy days saying the economy is getting better to its slow and lonely days of the slow economy. I can bring out the true beauty within each and every piece of

wood that a pallet consisit of and give its life new meaning and bringing beautiful vintage charm to any home or business thru its charm and beauty.

Nice large Sliding Barn Day with cast iron handle. And a 12’ rail with large spoked wheels on the rail. A bit hard to work with this rough cut lumber but it turned out ok. This one is 8’ tall and 8’ wide. And glides so quite and smooth across the rail. This covered a large cased opening in a office. Then the second door is only 4’ wide and 8’ tall and will go on the cased opening on the back side of office.

Rolled out something really cool yesterday for some clients. These floating nightstands were built for a good friends wife. He wanted to surprise her with something different. We used pine plank boards and also added a USB outlet, dimmer switch and a custom made iron gas pipe sconce light with Edison bulb. It has a small shelf on top and a larger shelf on bottom. Also installed a second outlet below the bottom shelf for a motion sensor light underneath to shine across the floor when motion is sensed while getting out of bed. Thanks for the help and idea James! 👍🏻

Built a groovy little air conditioner screen for a client at a high rise in Atlanta. I had to build it to be quietly assembled on site and carried up an elevator. I sent her several pics of styles and stains and She chose the natural looking wood. It is fully treated and outdoor ready delivering this morning

This wagon wheel chandelier finally got put up in its permanent home today. I used vintage Edison bulbs at first but then settled on regular bulbs with the mason jars. It lights up the underside of the wheel a lot better.

Came across these really kool vintage oak and maple desk chairs made by Americas oldest furniture company Nichols and Stone co. This set was built specifically for Princeton University. Which after doing some research this company built chairs for quite a few universities.

Wagon wheel mason jar chandelier. Just got a little more tweaking on the wiring and mounting canopy and this groovy piece is ready to hang. I'll be installing pale blue mason jars with clear ones to change out if ever needed. Then install some vintage Edison bulbs and Whalha!

I want to apologize to all my vintage splinter family out there. I just found over 200 messages from the past 2 years hidden thru a filter on my messenger. I opened these filtered request which I have no idea how or why they got there instead of to me. I just came across over 200 orders over 50 questions about custom koolers and tables and beds and sliding barn doors. Also to the company owners that were wanting to set up meetings to get into me selling mass quantities for wholesale at your stores and restaurants I apologize. I have started writing most if you back explaining what happened but figured this would be easier. And to all that are curious to know what happened to The Vintage Splinter it's a long story but I will be opening up shop again very soon and will be focusing mostly on custom vintage wood furniture and lighting and of course the ever famous vintage koolers with sports, booze, armed forces signs, etc... Until then I will try to find out why this happened to make sure this doesn't happen again. Thanks Again to all you loyal Vintage Splinter family out there! 😊

This is a really kool place up in Milton. It has a unique vintage nostalgia that you wouldn't find at any local market. They have the cozy coffee cafe side and the local produce and gift side! Definitely worth the trip. 👍👍
