Every meal begins with one question
Before the nutrition. Before the conversation. Before the food even reaches the table β€” every meal begins with a single question.

How does this person get safely into the chair?

We almost never ask it. We plan menus, we set beautiful tables, we train staff on hospitality and diets and service β€” and we skip right over the very first movement of the meal, the one that carries the most risk for the people who need us most.

Answer that one question well, and everything downstream gets easier. The caregiver saves their back. The family stops holding its breath. The resident keeps their dignity. The administrator sees the claims go down.

It all flows from the first thirty seconds β€” the moment a person meets the chair.

Get that right, and everyone finally gets to do the thing they came for: share a meal, together.

Your brand belongs in every detail β€” even the chairs. πŸ–ŒοΈ
Guests may not consciously register the seating, but they absolutely feel a room that's cohesive. Design Mix helps you coordinate chairs with your venue's identity, choosing frame colors and fabrics that echo your palette instead of fighting it.
The payoff is a space that looks intentional and polished from every seat in the house β€” and combinations you can save for future orders and refreshes. Seating becomes a natural extension of your brand, not a compromise.

Design your own chair, your way 🎨
Your sanctuary has a vision. Your seating should bring it to life β€” not fight against it.
With designMix, you can explore and combine fabrics, frame finishes, and back styles to create a chair that's uniquely yours. Visualize the combinations before you order, and build seating that feels custom-made for your space.
Because the chairs in your sanctuary aren't just functional β€” they're part of the worship environment your members step into every week. Make them yours.

The chair nobody wants to accept
Here's something people rarely say out loud.
Many older adults don't resist a wheelchair because it's uncomfortable or unsafe. They resist what it represents the line between living independently and becoming a patient. Crossing it feels like losing something that isn't coming back.
So they keep struggling with furniture that was never built for them, because the "safe" option costs them their sense of self.
That's the opening. There's a whole space between a normal dining chair and a medical device seating that looks like it belongs at any table, but quietly does the work of keeping a person stable, safe, and upright.
A chair that supports independence instead of announcing dependence. That's not a small distinction. For the person sitting in it, it's the whole thing.

When the caregiver becomes the motor.
There's an injury nobody logs.
It's the aide's lower back at the end of a shift. The shoulder that clicks. The knees that go first. It builds up quietly, one transfer at a time, until one morning it doesn't get back up.
Here's where a lot of it comes from: a chair was never designed to move with a person sitting in it β€” yet that's exactly what we ask caregivers to do. Push it in. Drag it out. Twist it around. Forty times a shift, with a human being in the seat.
If the caregiver has to become the motor, the furniture has failed.
Staff shortages are real. Burnout is real. But we rarely stop to ask how much of that exhaustion is being handed to our caregivers by the furniture itself.
Move the chair. Not the person. And not the caregiver's spine.

A normal chair is built to stay put.
That friction keeps it stable β€” and works against you the second someone is seated in it.
So caregivers push, pull, and strain against furniture that was never meant to move.
The Chair Caddie changes the rules: the chair participates in the movement instead of fighting it.
