After some consideration I have decided to step back from refinishing furniture. When I started this it was a means of making extra income. My new job affords me the opportunity to not need this avenue of income anymore. I am finishing up the pieces currently in my shop and I will not be accepting any new projects for the foreseeable future. I will still do the occasional project if I feel adventurous. I’d like to get my weekends back and start spending time with my husband again lol. Thank you to everyone who has given me work these past few years. I appreciate you all.

So this was another new to me project. This was her mom’s table and had been outside for years. This Formica top table needed new PVC banding and a facelift on the legs. Sanded everything down and re stained it and added new banding. It’s not perfect and the banding wasn’t an exact match, couldn’t find the same banding from 60+ years ago on the original table. Removed the hardware and removed the rust and re painted.

After a good amount of sanding and wood bleach I think I finally got this piece about right. This is a solid oak dresser I found from someone cleaning out a shed. I decided not sell this item because there were just to many imperfections like the inside of the drawers and the handles are a bit crooked. I paint washed this and finished it off with some matte polycrylic. I like the raw beat up, rustic look.

It took some Bondo and a lot of sanding, but I got this piece fixed up. Did a photo stain finish on the top and backs of the chairs painted the rest and recovered the chairs. This will make Miss pearl a wonderful puzzle table.
