A few progress shots of the sofa. Got through some of the parts I’ve been avoiding and now I feel a lot more confident about how it’s going to turn out now. Phew! The last shout outs its current state. Now to get the legs worked out and decide if I’m doing wood panels on the front of the arms or an upholstered panel. We’ll see, I guess!

And we’re back with some furniture! This is a custom desk I made for a client (and friend). The legs and the mounts are hardwood, the top is plywood, and it’s all finished in a matte black. Any thoughts?

Just finished this update to my stool design from the This one is definitely not made of 2x4s and classes up the design quite a bit. .........................................
It’s made of red oak, the paint is matte black, and the chamfers have been waxed to avoid the ambering effect of other finishes. The seat is upholstered in black leather............................................

I used mdf for the body and the drawer is oak plywood finished with danish oil. .............................
I’m working on a bed design that will better fit the look I want. More to come there. ………...............
