A Caring Closet

Last week, KATU News came to our warehouse to do a story on A Caring Closet. Boy they were in for a treat!

Our volunteers were busy, energized, and doing what they do best—making a difference! Equipment was pouring in from generous donors while, at the same time, wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, and other essential equipment were heading out to people who needed them most.

If we had to sum up the day in just one word, it would be: JOY!

There is something truly special about seeing our community come together—people donating equipment they no longer need, volunteers giving their time, and neighbors receiving the equipment that can help them live with greater mobility, dignity, and independence.

Our friends at Bonaventure of Tigard Senior Living are hosting a Medical Equipment Supply Drive to benefit A Caring Closet!

Have gently used medical equipment you no longer need? Bring it to the drive! All donated equipment will be given to A Caring Closet, where it will be provided FREE of charge to individuals and families in our community who need it.

Huge thank you to Rosewood Park Independent and Assisted Living for the amazing busload of equipment! On a very busy warehouse day where 200 people came to us to find needed medical equipment, this special delivery helped us ensure everyone who came through our doors had that need met.

The Closet is closed today, but our dedicated volunteers were still hard at work! Thanks to our amazing partners at Medical Teams International we had a literal truckload of incontinence products and some extra mobility equipment to unload so we can have nice full shelves when we open our doors tomorrow 🥰

Today we're celebrating an incredible investment in our community!

A Caring Closet is deeply grateful for a $50,000 grant awarded by the Cowlitz Indian Tribe through the work of the Cowlitz Tribal Foundation.

This generous support will help us continue providing free durable medical equipment to anyone in need throughout Southwest Washington so everyone can access the equipment needed to regain independence, live in comfort and dignity, or care for a loved one at home.

As demand for our services continues to grow, partnerships like this ensure we can be there for every neighbor who walks through our doors.

Thank you to the Cowlitz Indian Tribe and the Cowlitz Tribal Foundation for your commitment to strengthening our community and improving the lives of those we serve. We are honored by your partnership and grateful for your belief in our mission.
