Dear friends and colleagues,
I am writing to express my deepest gratitude to all of you for the unwavering support and encouragement you have extended to me through the tumultuous times of Harvey’s on Beverly liquidation. Your unwavering support has been the guiding light that has helped me navigate these tough times and given me the strength and courage to make the decisions I have made.
As you all know, I had planned for full retirement after the liquidation of Harvey’s on Beverly, but as it turned out, retirement wasn't for me. I missed the thrill of being around people and the joy of bringing new life to old and vintage pieces. A spark within me urged me to get back in the game, and that's how Tropical Sun Rattan came into being.
I cherish the beauty and the history behind the vintage pieces that I work with, and my passion for rattan restoration has grown stronger with every passing day. The joy that it brings me to see something old and worn become new and alive again is immeasurable, and I want to keep doing what I love for as long as I can.
Tropical Sun Rattan is my labor of love, and I am humbled by the response I have received from all of you. It is a more scaled-back (and if you truly know me – scaled back is both hilarious and impossible for me) and a specialized version of my cherished vintage business, focused on rattan restoration, and I hope that you will come and visit me soon.
Our journey in life is never dull, and I have learned that sometimes the things we think we want might not be what we truly need. As I embark on this new chapter of Tropical Sun Rattan, I am grateful for the love and support of all of you who have made my decision to continue working possible.
Thank you for being a part of my journey, and I look forward to seeing all of you soon.
