Move Associate:
Senior Moving Services is a local moving company that focuses on assisting seniors transition from their home into a community, condo, apartment or smaller home.

Unique opportunity! Who doesn't love working with our older generation? We have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic Move Associate. As a move associate you will partner with a Senior Move Associate and other Move Associates and together provide a world class customer service experience in the handling of our clients precious possessions. This position provides a unique opportunity for those looking to combine their customer service talents with their ability to properly pack, unpack, and settle our clients into their new environment.
Job Responsibilities:
• A high degree of compassion and empathy for senior citizens during stressful situations;
• Communicate effectively in English;
• Provide exceptional customer service as you safely pack, identify, unpack and settle client belongings;
• Disassemble and assemble electronics, hang pictures, shower curtains, curtains, make beds; and
• Assist your team with moving required materials in and out of client's home and community.
Job Requirements:
Because moving is stressful, we seek candidates with a commitment to customer service and an appreciation for the variety in your job!
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Professional attitude and demeanor;
• Experience working with senior citizens;
• Total understanding of the "value" of clients possessions;
• Manual Dexterity;
• Helpful if your have had past experience in the fields of packing, organizing, cleaning, and decorating;
• Stamina to lift and move boxes packed by you and your team mates (40-50 lbs or more);
• Understand the art of properly packing boxes maximizing space and preventing damage to client's possessions;
• Good hand-eye coordination;
• Take direction from team and Senior Move Manager;
• Must be clean cut, polite and patient with clientele;
• Nonsmoker;
• Reliable transportation; and
• Pass required background check.
This is a part time position.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour
