The award-winning Urbana’s Market at the Square returns on Saturday, May 2, 2026, kicking off another exciting season of fresh food, local shopping, and community fun. Considered the top farmers market to visit in Illinois, the Market is located at the corner of Illinois and Vine Streets and takes place rain or shine every Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon through October 2026.
Now celebrating its 47th year, Urbana’s Market at the Square has been a beloved Saturday tradition since 1979. With more than 150 vendors, shoppers can explore Illinois-grown produce, beautiful plants and flowers, farm-fresh meats, eggs, honey, baked goods, handmade art and crafts, and a delicious lineup of food trucks with something for every taste.
“This is going to be another great season for Urbana’s Market at the Square,” said Bryan Heaton, Market Coordinator. “We invite everyone to come out and enjoy fresh local food, talented artisans, engaging community organizations, and all your favorite food trucks.”
Visitors can also stay in the know with the Market’s weekly email newsletter, *Market Mail*, featuring vendor highlights, weekly happenings, and special programming updates. To subscribe and learn more, visit Urbana’s Market at the Square at urbanamarket.org.

Customers can use their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits by bringing their LINK card to the information tent on the north row of the Market. For every SNAP dollar redeemed, shoppers will receive a $1 match to spend on fresh, local produce.
