This Saturday is the return of the Makers Festival! Join us from 11 AM to 2 PM at Balfour Park for fun make and takes, awe-inspiring demonstrations and shopping with local vendors! Enjoy live music, grab something delicious to eat, and don’t miss free face painting for all ages.

Join us as we celebrate the spirit of making, honoring our industrial roots while showcasing the creativity and innovation of today’s makers. There’s something for everyone, so bring your friends, your family, and your curiosity!

There is a rain date of May 31st if the weather is looking iffy for Saturday. Please check back here if we have to move it!

On this day, October 29th, in 1929, Black Tuesday marked the end of the Roaring 20's - the start of the great Depression. In Chicago, in late 1929, The Bremer Tully S82 hit the market. A little slice of the american art deco style of the jazz age, it brought music and news into the homes of those who could afford a stylish piece.

In 2025, as a throwback to the era and its hidden economy resulting from prohibition, the Bremer Tully is reborn as an upscale hideaway for your top-shelf whiskey collection and cocktail barware.

Figured Walnut, Carpathian Elm, Gaboon Ebony, and leather, with brass details. The serving tray is an original piece created with elements of the cabinet echoed throughout, and reclaimed walnut likely felled in 1929.

Oh,...and it can also play music....
