💔Last night, a piece of my heart and soul left this world.
There are no words deep enough to describe the heartache I feel.
My dad, Carl Scott, was so much more than just my father. He was my rock, my steady foundation—and to my kids, he was more like a second dad than a grandpa.
A dear friend said it best: “He had a magnetic soul.” People were drawn to him because he was warm, welcoming, generous, and always ready with his quick, wicked sense of humor—even until the very end.
As he began to say goodbye, dozens and dozens of people came to share memories and love. That was the magic of my dad—he built community wherever he went.
He was the kind of man who would gladly give you his dessert with a smile and a grateful heart.
My dad was truly one of the best people on this wild, often heartbreaking planet.
His love, laughter, and strength live on in all of us. 🕊️❤️
