Hello friends,
We recently reached 5,000 followers here on Facebook, and while we are incredibly thankful, it made us stop and think about what that number actually represents.
Because to us, it isn't 5,000 clicks on a Follow button.
It's people.
People who have walked through our doors. People we've laughed with, visited with and gotten to know. People who have told their friends about us, shared our posts, brought their families in and continued to come back year after year.
And somewhere along the way, many of those customers became friends. ❤️
We know 5,000 followers may not seem like a huge number in the world of social media. We also know we aren't always very good about consistently posting! 😂 That's what makes it mean even more to us that so many of you have stuck around and continue to follow our journey.
This coming January, L and J Treasures will begin our 13th year in business.
Thirteen years as a family-owned and family-run small business. ❤️
When we think back over those years, we don't think about followers or numbers.
We think about the people we've met.
We think about the friendships that never would have happened if our family hadn't taken a chance all those years ago and opened the doors to L and J Treasures.
We think about all of the beautiful antique furniture that has passed through our doors—pieces with stories and history that were chosen by someone new, taken home, loved again and made part of another family's memories.
We think about the customers we've watched come back over the years. The conversations across the counter. The familiar faces walking through the door. The people who stop in just to see what's new—or sometimes just to say hello.
As a family business, you've also gotten to know us along the way. You've watched our family grow and change, you've shared pieces of your lives with us, and you've become part of the story of L and J Treasures too.
Those are the things that have made these nearly 13 years special.
So while reaching 5,000 gave us a reason to stop, smile and celebrate, the number isn't what we're celebrating.
We're celebrating the people behind it.
We're celebrating the friendships, the memories, the support, and every person who has allowed our family business to be a small part of their home and their story.
Whether you've been coming through our doors for years, purchased one special piece from us, follow quietly from home, share our posts, recommend us to others, or just recently found us…
We're thankful you're here.
