There were lots of sunburnt but smiling faces at the 20th Annual Timberbeast Challenge Supported by Innova this past weekend! So much time and effort go into every event, but with the flooding in December and the wind storm a few weeks ago, this year’s event took a monumental effort - and a lot of teamwork - to happen!

This year’s event simply would not have happened without the support of both Lincoln County and the City of Troy,!! The County, led by Commissioner Jim Hammons, dedicated their road crew to help clean up the course following the wind event a couple of weeks ago. They also purchased 18 brand new baskets for the course to replace the baskets damaged in the storm. The City, led by Mayor TJ Boswell, dedicated their Parks crew to help cleanup the course, too!! These crews hauled a total of 116 dump truck loads of slash and debris and another 4 log truck loads of saw logs off of the course. It is absolutely incredible the amount of work they accomplished in such a short time!! Troy is very fortunate to have community members and leaders who support public spaces like the Timberbeast Disc Golf Course!

Thank You to Mike Wallace for the many, many, many hours he has spent cutting and cleaning up the course!! Your passion for the Timberbeast is unmatched and is very much appreciated by all of us!

Avery and Dulcie Wallace - Thank You for all you do at Tournament Central during the event as well as all the support you give Mike year round.

Jeremy Husentruit - Thank You for all of your hard work cutting, mowing, and general maintenance help at the Timberbeast!!

Thank You to all of the volunteers who came out and ran saws, picked up debris, raked fairways, or helped in any way to get the Beast back to a playable state. There were so many people - both locals and people traveling from afar - who pitched in to help clean the Beast after the storm. It is amazing to see what happens when a bunch of motivated people get together for a common cause!

And Thank You to all the people and businesses who sponsored the event!!

Innova Discs - as the Title Sponsor they supplied us with custom stamped tournament discs for the event. They also went above and beyond to work with Lincoln County on the basket purchase and to get the baskets here on short notice.

PLATINUM SPONSORS

Watson’s Market and Kootenai Drug True Value, were both Platinum Sponsors of the event. And they also supplied a fun and very thoughtful gift basket for the celebrity disc golfers who joined us this weekend.

Greetings Timberbeast competitors! The 20th Annual Timberbeast Challenge Supported by Innova Discs is this weekend!! Here is all the info you’ll need to enjoy your weekend in Troy and celebrate 20 years of the Timberbeast.

SCHEDULE, CHECK-IN, AND LAYOUT INFO

The full schedule and all layout info is posted on Disc Golf Scene at https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournament/20th_Annual_Timberbeast_Challenge_Supported_by_Innova_2026

The course received significant damage in the flood last December and in the wind event a couple of weeks ago so the course will look a little different than last year. The biggest changes are:

A new hole 4
Hole 5 plays backwards from last year
hole 7 has a much more open fairway and a new basket placement
A new Mando on hole 8 from the long tee
Hole 10’s basket has been moved a little shorter and to the left

*** Player check-in is mandatory ***

All players must be checked in at Tournament Central least 40 minutes before the start of their first round. TC will be located near the practice basket on Friday (look for the Innova flag and tent) and in the gazebo on Saturday.

The course is set up, looking as good as it can, and ready to be tamed!

SCORING AND HOLE ASSIGNMENTS

We will use PDGA digital scorecards as the official score keeping method for this year’s event. Go to https://www.pdga.com/apps/tournament/score/login
to load the card.

Starting holes will be published on the PDGA event page Friday evening after check-in. The event page website is https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/100319

FOOD

Main Street Perk will have their famous breakfast burritos for sale at the course beginning about 6:45 on Saturday. Their restaurant on HWY 2 just 2 blocks west of the course is open early with a full menu.

Watsons Market will be bbq’ing ribs and fixings across the street from the course all day everyday this weekend.

The Windsor is located across the street from the course and has a drive-in style menu for quick service.

We are excited to have a food truck set up at the Awards Ceremony this year!! Kingdom BBQ will be set up and serving brisket, pulled pork, burgers, and more Saturday evening before and during Awards.

The Silver Spur will have live music on Saturday night featuring Area 56 along with their full menu of great food.

RAFFLE

Nancy Morgan made a beautiful Timberbeast themed quilt that we will be raffling off to help offset future course improvements. There’ll be a few more items added to the raffle as well.

PARKING

Due to the Troy Farmers Market, the parking lot at Peddler’s Park (the park with the course) will be closed at 10:00 AM on Friday. Please park along the road and walk to the parking lot on Friday. Be sure to take a stroll through the Market between 11:00 - 3:00. There’s always some tasty treats!

CAMPING

Camping is available in Roosevelt Park for $5 per unit (tent/camper/etc…). If you would like to camp there but didn’t prepay with your registration, you can take care of that when you check in for the tournament.

You are allowed to drive in and park past the gate to camp. Please use the gate by the pickleball courts only. This is the blue gate on the map below. ‼️DO NOT drive into the camping area from the boat launch/basketball court side of the park.‼️ A map showing where camping will be posted on the Timberbeast FB page.

Campfires are allowed in provided fire rings ONLY. There is a big community fire ring with wood provided available for all. Propane fire pits are allowed.

Please help the cleanup crew by removing all your garbage from the park when you leave. There is a trash collection area located along the tracks on your left between Roosevelt Park and the course. Thanks in advance!
