The Father Center of New Jersey is proud to announce that Dr. Glenn Lang will receive the Robert E. Alston Legacy of Fatherhood Award at the 21st Annual Platinum Dads Celebration on June 5, 2026.

A lifelong educator, mentor, and advocate, Dr. Lang has dedicated his career to expanding educational opportunity and empowering future generations. As the former Assistant Secretary of Higher Education for Academic and Student Support Programs and Executive Director of New Jersey’s Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF), he helped shape statewide initiatives supporting student success from middle school through college. Under his leadership, EOF became a nationally recognized model for access and achievement, helping more than 43,000 students earn college degrees.

Yet among his many accomplishments, Dr. Lang considers his most meaningful role to be that of father and grandfather. A proud dad to India, Glenn II, and Miles, and “Pop Pop” to four grandchildren, he believes engaged and loving fatherhood has the power to strengthen families, uplift communities, and create brighter futures for generations to come.

A first-generation college graduate and one of fifteen siblings, Dr. Lang’s story reflects perseverance, purpose, and a lifelong commitment to service. Even in retirement, he continues to mentor students, support schools and institutions, and inspire others through his leadership and compassion.

The Robert E. Alston Legacy of Fatherhood Award honors individuals who embody the enduring values of fatherhood, mentorship, and community leadership. With the heartfelt support of Gloria Alston, wife of the late Robert E. Alston, this award continues his powerful legacy by recognizing those whose lives and work inspire others through unwavering dedication to families and community.

Join us at Platinum Dads 2026 as we celebrate Dr. Glenn Lang and all of this year’s inspiring honorees.

Congratulations to Lisa Clotter, Outreach Manager and Client Services Specialist Coordinator at The Father Center of New Jersey, for being named Employee of the Month for May!

In just over a year with TFCNJ, Lisa has already made a meaningful impact on the lives of the fathers and families we serve across Mercer, Camden, and Burlington counties. In her role, she builds relationships with key community stakeholders to expand programming and employment opportunities for participants. After years working in the nonprofit sector on a national level, Lisa wanted to focus on work that allowed her to connect directly with her local community—and work with others equally committed.

“The team at The Father Center go above and beyond,” she says. “They follow up with participants when they stumble, help them find resources outside the scope of the program, and are truly committed to the men they serve.” One of Lisa’s proudest moments has been helping launch the Pathways2Purpose program alongside Career Coach Brian Wingate, supporting fathers through weekly sessions focused on mental health, emotional intelligence, soft skills, LinkedIn development, and career readiness. What she loves most about her job is witnessing the way participants transform their lives.

Outside of TFCNJ, Lisa is deeply involved in her community as a township commissioner overseeing recreation sports, a high school cheer coach, and a church secretary, as well as being a very involved mom of two active children.

Thank you, Lisa, for your compassion, leadership, and commitment to helping fathers build brighter futures every day!

Nasir Alston came into the Co-Hort program looking to make a real change in his life. Through mentorship and apprenticeship opportunities with Job One, his mindset and outlook on life began to change, making the impossible finally seem possible.

Facing homelessness and uncertainty, Nasir stayed committed to the process. With the support of Client Services Specialists Omar Aikens and Monique Jackson, along with the strong support system from Job One standing beside him every step of the way, he was able to secure housing within just two weeks.

Thanks to The Father Center of New Jersey for providing the platform and Job One for leading the way. Watching two powerful organizations come together to create change for this gentleman was truly amazing. 🙏
