The September first Friday will offer a glimpse of things to come in our showroom windows . . , AND, there will be a huge discount on furniture currently in the store, so we can make room for the new.

Eames Herman Miller table and chairs. Upholstery isn’t perfect, but it’s quite attractive and serviceable. I just put it on CL for $425. If one of you here would give $360, I would sell it.

Our Story

rodbrown is a mid-century and designer furniture store in the NOTO arts district. The store evolved out of my (Rod’s) appreciation for, and accumulation of, vintage furniture. I love way more things than I can ever enjoy on my own, so I want to find folks that will appreciate, and cherish, each one of the pieces I’ve collected . . . and will collect in the future. You see, I don’t plan to stop buying new things anytime soon. However, I will now call it “inventory,” which sounds better than “more stuff.” :-)

I want the store to be a place where mid-century fans can find nice pieces, make new friends, and learn from one another. We are a retail store, but dealers and pickers are warmly welcomed. Bundling will always lower the price, and I generally always have some stuff . . . I mean inventory . . . that I can sell with some “meat left on the bone,” as they like to say.
