My first attempt to make furniture didn’t end up too bad! I made a pair of these bedside tables for my daughter and she’s already putting them to good use. The birch used for the top and the bottom shelf are from a good friend and just beautiful!

Thanks to my husband who helped a ton with this project! We needed a bed for this room since my daughter moved out and took the one in it. I wanted to make a platform for the mattress and it was fairly easy and quick project!

The best part is the quilt made for us from my late Aunt Dixie for our wedding.

John and I did a special delivery yesterday. Taylor got her new end tables for the living room and a refinished console table she needed refinished. It was not all wood and I used Retique It to lay down a layer of wood fibers. It worked great! She likes a lighter finish for the table and I was able to use a custom sandstone paint wash and aged glaze to make it look new.

For the Spalted Maple end tables for the living room I used a natural stain and then sealed it. Black Hairpin legs. They turned out beautiful.

It was down to the wire on this one. I finished it the night before we moved Taylor to Chicago. I love the new finish and refreshed look on it. Looks great in her apartment.

I finally finished these pieces! Between the knee recovery and family loss setting me back some, I was able to persevere and finish these pieces. The request was for more of a gray to match the table I did last year. I love how the grain turned out on the painted shelf and the top of the coffee table.
