The ZoomRoom company began in Indiana in the heart of RV manufacturing. The core customers of the ZoomRoom were hotshots, people who take one-off hauling jobs. In this case, it was hauling RVs to dealerships. The hotshots purchased a ZoomRoom for several reasons.

1) It provided cost savings over having to pay to stay in motels every night. Depending on how much they paid to stay in a motel, this alone would pay for the ZoomRoom in two months or less.

2) It provided a more convenient and comfortable environment. They didn't have to take time to plan out a place to stay along their route, trying to maximize travel time. They just need a place to park and they sleep in their ZoomRoom. They also don't have to haul their belongings into a motel every night, they keep them in their truck and ZoomRoom. No forgetting items in a motel.

3) It provides a wind break during hauling. Since the ZoomRoom can be driven down, up, or anywhere in between, it can be set to the right height as a wind break based on what is being hauled. Under the right conditions, it can provide one-mile-per-gallon savings on fuel. This might not sound like much, but if you are hauling hundreds of thousands of miles a year it adds up quick.

Today, more people are finding a benefit to owning a ZoomRoom.

Recreational: People who love to travel and spend time outdoors use a ZoomRoom as an alternative to sleeping in a tent.

Sports and Racing: Some customers travel from one venue to another with a sports or racing team. The ZoomRoom provides a living space not only overnight but in between events.

Food Vendors: Food trucks are more popular than ever. Some people tow a mobile kitchen from one event to another. They find a ZoomRoom a great option.

Firefighters: We built a custom unit for a firefighter, think forest fires. He had specific requirements to meet the special needs of his job.

Nature Photographer: We build a custom unit for a customer who spends time in nature. He wanted a way to stand up through a hatch in the top of his ZoomRoom and take photographs.

The bottom line is, if you want comfort and convenience to travel with you, the ZoomRoom may just be an ideal fit.

In the past customers would power their ZoomRoom, the A/C, lights, fan and personal devices with a generator mounted on their truck. This required routine refueling, occasional oil changes and maintenance and could be noisy when you were trying to relax or sleep. But with so many things powered by batteries, that technology has reached the point where one can replace the generator. It doesn't require refueling (gas at least), oil, or maintenance and is silent (except for a cooling fan). The battery pack can be connected to your truck to provide a trickle charge while you drive so it is fully charged by the next time you need it.

We had a customer who uses an Ecoflow Delta Max power station and says it will power his ZoomRoom, including the A/C, overnight. They also used it for their small toaster oven and other personal devices. He says it makes life on the road much more comfortable and convenient.
