Hey everyone, I'm posting that if anyone needs something for the holidays I'm here and ready to start building right away. Business has been slow the last few months with the holidays coming up and right now business being slow reach out even if you need handyman work. Good afternoon everyone. I know I haven't posted in a little while but I'm still open for business. Currently I am working by myself and have my son in the afternoon to help weekdays. It's that time of year for those small unorganized rooms to get organized. We build closets that are designed to store everything you need being that most every shelf is adjustable and closet rods are adjustable. Although I don't build full kitchens anymore this was one of the last kitchen I built. I absolutely love when one of my teachers call me to build them a kitchen or vanity and such. But this was no ordinary teacher this was for one of my Favorite teachers of my entire school term. It's fun to to see how much more relaxed and happier they are not that she wasn't always happy but to be a part of her kitchen remodel and hang out with her and her husband I had so much fun on this job. Love you Mr. And Mrs. Hammon! Your kitchen is and was such an enjoyable experience for me and my son as we made it happen.

So I tried to go to work for another Cabinet company and I just didn't feel the connection I have with my shop and my tools. Most of you know this was my dad's shop and he pulled me in as business partner until he got sick and I became his caregiver. He told me to run the shop but not to let shop run me. So I'm taking on a limited amount of work at a time mostly one man jobs such as vanities, mudroom cabinets, office storage cabinets, custom closets, entertainment centers, built ins and so much more. I'm running the business as my self no longer using Cabinets by Mark. So cash , check written to myself, or Venmo are the only ways of payment I can currently accept. Thank you all for letting me make cabinet dreams come to life.

We've been in business since 1989, over these past 34 years we've made so many kitchen dreams, commercial jobs and small odd jobs happen. In 2018 my dad had a heart attack the resulted in several organ failures over the course of the next few years. Dad passed in November of 2020. I miss him terribly I made dad a promise in his final moments that the shop was going to continue and I would do my best to live up to his standards. Dad said just don't let the shop work you, you work the shop. Well with lack of being able to keep good help and working by myself and now I'm dealing with some health issues myself I have decided that Cabinets by Mark will close down as soon as I finish these two kitchens I'm working on. I will be taking on small jobs such as entertainment centers, built ins, mudrooms, closets but no more full kitchens as I can't physically do it by myself anymore. All jobs will be cash jobs or checks made payable to Mark Geddes , we also accept Venmo. It's been a long run and I'm sad I can't keep my promise I made to my dad but my family and health need me more. We appreciate each and every one of you all that have supported us through out these years. Thank you from the Geddes family.

We are looking to expand our business and have a few positions available. I have had to take some down time lately to handle some things and work is continuing to come in and to honor our customers we are going to restructure a little bit so that we can streamline a little bit quicker.
Our current needs are :

Someone who is skilled in layout/ cut out
( experienced on a commercial table saw)

Sanders/ installers/ flex ( hours may vary)

Painter specializing in Lacquer paints and stains

Must be able to lift heavy cabinets and equipment around tight spaces and stairs

Must have transportation to and from work

Must want to work we are looking for people who are passionate about cabinetry and are looking to build on their skills as well as providing an exceptional product for our customers to last many years.

This home was so much fun to do. I have a lot of our projects that are my favorites and I'm sure this is right at the top. This family is an absolutely great couple to work with and we were blessed to be a part of this transformation for them. This is a barndominium . I would definitely be able to retire and live in one.
