Richard is our Head of Production. He is a sculptor and classically trained blacksmith who has been with us at J.M. Szymanski since 2023.

This summer, Richard spent six weeks in residence at the Center for Metal Arts in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, working ten to twelve hours a day at the forge.

He returned with new techniques, fresh ideas, and an even deeper command of his craft. His skill and perspective as a master blacksmith have already begun to shape the work coming out of our Bronx studio.

We were pleased to open our studio to introduce Collection No. 4, sharing our new pieces in the space where it began.

We’ll be sharing more on the inspiration, technique, and final designs in the weeks ahead.

On September 24, we’ll open the doors to the workshop for the introduction of Collection No. 4. It will be an evening of new work, familiar faces, and a few surprises.

LACE: Collection Preview 4pm–7pm
LEATHER: Celebration 7pm–10pm

DRESS CODE: Lace or leather. Interpretation encouraged.

Enjoy light bites and an open bar.
