We had a new customer reach out to us with bedroom furniture she was gifted with after high school graduation. She loved her furniture but realized the color golden oak is pretty out of date. She asked if we could help her modernize these pieces. Absolutely!- was our answer. We went from 80s/90s popular golden oak in a high gloss to a more modern color and finish in “simply white” and semigloss. The credit to the hardware 100% goes to the customer for finding their own—that we think is the perfect accent to the pieces. In the end, we were able to modernize and adapt this furniture. Just because you think it looks out of date doesn’t mean that it can’t be brought up to date over and over again. We as a business have been keeping up with modern trends and adapting pieces to keep them up to date since 1952. In this New Year, please allow us a chance to refresh your furniture as you do with your resolutions. This customer reached out to us with a piece that belonged to her grandmother, who by her description was quite an incredible woman. What started off originally as a China cabinet that was left to be abused by the elements and the weather for many years turned into a gorgeous showcase for all of her grandmother’s weapons. Just because something is one thing today doesn’t mean it can be transformed into something else tomorrow. This customer reached out to us with a previously painted table that she had attempted to repair on her own. She realized it was much more of a project than she wanted to take on. We were able to get the paint off and the detail and depth of the wood to pop back out like it should. A very pleased customer and a very challenging and rewarding piece for us to work on. These two pieces came to us from a wonderful repeat customer and a dear friend, both pieces in need of love. These pieces will get the same extensive treatment that anyone brings to our business. But look at the transformation so far! We absolutely can’t wait to show y’all how they finish out! Just remember: 99.99% of the time, the piece is not “too far gone.” We love to restore furniture and memories.
