Did a little cedar chest today for my own use. Cut the swoops off the bottom, removed the hideous pulls, sanded, painted the base is stock black which always has a slight grey look to it and stained the top in a mixture of espresso and Roanoke. Tomorrow I can seal it and Wednesday I will have the replacement pulls. Oh and removed the lock of course

I had chatGPT do a staged photo because it is too damn cold to do my usual outdoor pics. Have them for sale for $250 each or $475 for both. Husband asked me if they don't sell in the next few days to set them aside for our son to have in his new house. I will take them off the market if not sold by Tuesday or Wednesday next week. LMK if interested

Update: when I bought paint, most of the votes were for black. By the time I got home , most of the votes were white. Turns out I accidentally bought white 🤷‍♀️

Further update: the white did not work out so it will be black.
