This has been a long time coming. My sweet 97 year old next door neighbor passed away in 2021 and I was extremely blessed to be the recipient of her bedroom suit. It’s been sitting in my guest bedroom, as is, for 2.5 years but recently I had an epiphany of what I wanted to do with the vanity. For years I have searched for a TV stand to be used in our den but my search turned up nothing. My search is finally over. The answer has been under my own roof for 2.5 years! This piece was a labor of love with endless hours of sanding and sawing to update and modify but I’m loving the finished product! And did I mention the total costs for this makeover was a big fat zero?

SOLD-This fun little dresser wasn’t so fun to redo but, once again, I learned a lot and stretched my abilities immensely! In fact, it’s been in storage for almost a year because I wasn’t sure I had what it would take to tackle it. But after a comment or two by my husband about it taking up valuable space, I finally drug it out and began its transformation. It took quite awhile but here she is. I also was able to practice my carpentry skills (uh hum, of which I have none) on this one by building a base to replace the missing one. The top and top two drawers are natural wood and the remaining drawers and body are painted in Sweet Carolina green. I replaced the hardware and added cute drawer liners. Be sure to scroll through for a “before” picture. Measurements: 46” Wide x 18” Deep x 31” High

This solid wood chest of drawers was a true labor of love. I rescued this poorly maintained piece from the side of the road and had a vision for it’s restoration from the time I laid eyes on it. I can’t say my vision was exactly what is now pictured because, as I’ve said in the past, each piece of furniture tends to develop its true character as I work on it. I can say I’m truly happy with the way this chest’s character developed. It’s painted in Cozy Cottage Brown with an ebony stained top and Jett Black base. The entire piece is protected with multiple layers of polycrylic. Each of the five drawers slide conveniently and are lined in a faux wood slat paper. The k***s and pulls are a classy black with copper edges. It measures 45.5” High x 26.5” Wide x 15” Deep. Available for purchase.

SOLD-This table has been hanging around for well over a year now all because I just couldn’t decide what look I wanted to go for. Finally, this is the outcome. I removed the “drum”, cut the pedestal to shorten the height, (going for more of a mini-coffee table look), stripped the top completely (swoon!), and painted the pedestal Idigo Streamer blue. Of course it’s completely coated in multiple layers of polycrylic for durability. I’m so, so happy with how this little table turned out! Be sure to scroll to the end to see the “before” picture and let me know what you think about this transformation. Available for purchase. Approximately 24” diameter x 19” high.

Beautiful story and beautiful furniture; this piece is both. Given to me by my mother-in-law recently, this cobbler’s bench coffee table was in rough shape cosmetically but still had years of life left otherwise. My husband said it has been around for most of his life and indeed it was sadly outdated. I took it completely apart, removed the caddies on top, and sanded it down to the bare wood. Hand designed and painted the geometric pattern, painted the drawer, grey washed, and sealed with polycrylic. I love the uniquely curved edge and the overall style of this table. It’s solid maple and cute as a button! This piece is ready for a new story! Available for purchase.

I love it when my
friends find furniture for me! This desk
was a really cool find by ,
well, her husband actually. Thanks
Kenneth! It's a sturdy solid wood desk
painted Carbon by Melange Paints, a
blue that thinks it's black with teal
undertones. (Seriously! This color is
moody and dramatic yet so fun!) I hand
painted a whimsical geometric pattern
inside the top drawer, in the side
storage area, and on the matching
stool. This project had me guessing
and changing my mind throughout the
entire transformation but I'm pretty
pleased with the final results. It's
available for purchase. DM for more
info but please note the measurements
of this desk carefully as it is rather
small in size, certainly appropriate for a
child or possibly conducive to a smaller
space. Measurements: Desk-31 1/4" wide x 18 1/5 deep x 28” high Desk Opening-22 1/2” high Stool-18” high x 12 3/4 diameter

Can you “spot” the difference in a Leopard, Jaguar, and Cheetah print? Well, if not, you’re about to learn how! I named this “my free Cheetah chair” but after doing a little research I discovered this is not a Cheetah print at all! The difference? Cheetah print is a black spot on a light colored background. Jaguar print is a black hollow spot with a black dot in the center. Leopard print is similar to Jaguar except it has no black dot in the center. This chair is Leopard. Well, it WAS Leopard. My friend and I picked this chair up on the side of the road and my friend needed a sewing table chair, so what’s a furniture flipper to do when she has a friend in need of furniture? She flips! Vera liked the stain on the wood so I cleaned it a bit and freshened it up with Restore-A-Finish, then recovered the seat with a fabric she picked out from my stash and, voila, she has a “like new” sewing table chair! Be sure to scroll through to see the original Leopard print and the date I found on the bottom. #1975

Take two! I wasn’t pleased with the staging on this table yesterday so I did a redo today. Those raw wood feet seemed to be camouflaged on the rug before but the bare hardwood floor allows them to “stand” out. (Heehee! Pardon the pun) Staging can be a challenge yet it’s also one of my favorite things about furniture flipping!

SOLD-Posterity Pieces is all about the stories behind furniture or any items in our homes that have meaning and value to us. A board may not have much meaning or value for most people but for me it does. From the time the seed was planted from which the tree grew that produced this piece of wood, it had a story. This particular piece was being discarded so I scooped it up and made a desk (or small table, whichever you prefer) in order for it’s story to continue. Sanding away the old stain, varnish, and scars was soul soothing. Painting on the new finishes was restorative. It’s my desire for this desk/table to be the center of innumerable loving memories for years to come. Measurements: 35” long x 24” deep x 29” high. Available for purchase. DM for info.

SOLD-Sometimes all it takes is a few simple additions and some TLC to update a piece. I added iron triangle legs and used Restore-A-Finish on the surface to modernize and revitalize this 5 cube IKEA console. There’s so much more that could be done to this piece but time nor funds allow at the present so this will have to suffice. Maybe the new owner can add baskets etc. (basket and decor not included in sale) Measurements: 72.5” long x 15.5” deep x 22” tall. Each cubby measures 13” wide x 13” tall x 15” deep. Middle cube and two end cubes have toggle switch lighting installed. Available-DM for more info.
