Sometimes, speed is the only option. 🏢⏱️

Last Friday afternoon, a partner from New Jersey reached out in a panic. Their client in San Diego needed their office completely empty by Wednesday to honor their lease agreement.

At R sqrd solutions, our biggest goal is finding a new home for office furniture so it doesn't end up in the trash. 🌍 But we want to be completely honest about how this works. Because of the extremely short 5-day turnaround, we unfortunately couldn't save the items on this project from the landfill.

How we still solved the problem: When timelines are this tight, we lean on our amazing network. We made a few calls, and our local San Diego crew jumped right in to handle the heavy lifting. By Wednesday, the office was totally empty and swept clean, saving the client from lease penalties.

Got a lead that a property manager needed to clear out their office. The new tenant didn't need the furniture, so we teamed up with Chance Reed from C-Serv for the decommission.

Turns out, Chance's team did the original install almost 9 years ago with some great Davies refurbished Steelcase Avenir stations!

With the shift to remote work, most of the furniture has been unused since 2020.

Chance and his team were fantastic, completing the job on time, even with the snowstorm! We also managed to keep most of the furniture out of the landfill. Great teamwork and a successful project!

Recently, we had the pleasure of helping an installer in New Jersey find a new home for their pre-owned Steelcase QiVi chairs. These chairs are now heading to a dealer in Arizona, who plans to resell them to a happy client. It's a great outcome for everyone involved! 🌎
